The Few. The Proud.
We were in Claremont or Pomona or whatevertf that place is really called and there was some huge marine dude that was harassing Mary for like the whole night. And she was so off that she never recognized him when he'd come back to her time after time. Finally we had to step in and smuggle her away to the least comfortable sleeping arrangements I can ever remember. And she kept falling off the couch onto me.
But only after trying to get ready for bed, but was seeing triple or whatever so she couldn't see if her contacts were in.
"Feel my eye."

I remember this night... isn't that when Trav hooked up with a Jane?
Well, I guess that can count for almost any night on this particular tour... This was the night Trav hooked up with a Jane about 2 feet from where I was sleeping... or so they thought, hehehehe (dirty old man alert!).
No, seriously: This is the night we got a really cool demo-CD from this dude who's floor we slepped on, that everybody listened to, but nobody still had by the time we got to Ann Arbor. We listened to it plenty on the road though:
"If he's the one that you wanna go to bed with and I'm the one you wanna wake up to, I'll just put myself on acetate and make it easier on you."
Great song. Haven't been able to find the band since (I don't even remember what they were called at this point...).
I still have the CD! The group is called Speechwriters, LLC, and the hit song was called Acetate. They're still around, and you can download stuff from their website if you google them. I love that song too.
That night was a new experience for me.
